Cosmos Network is a decentralized network of parallel blockchains. The Cosmos network, which is powered by the Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) consensus algorithm, is systematically run as Proof-of-Stake (PoS) and consists of several blockchains in the system, driven by a cryptocurrency called ATOM.
The Cosmos network is renowned for resolving the long-standing Proof-Of-Work blockchain issue that Bitcoin faces and unavoidable issues like delays, costly gas fees, and scalability throughout supporting a high volume of transactions, etc. As the “Internet of Blockchains,” Cosmos thus assumes a significant role in ensuring the safe connection of various blockchains to exchange information with other blockchains, it makes use of the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol.
