When using the Bitkub Exchange website and application, our system requires access to your personal data for necessary processes, such as account verification, or other purposes according to your consent given to the company (see an example below).
If the button at the end of a statement is green, it means that you allow and give your consent to the company to use your personal data for that purpose.
On the other hand, if the buttons are grey (as shown in the screenshot above), it means that you do not give your consent to the company to use your personal data for such purposes.
However, you can change your consent setting anytime. Please see the instructions below.
Consent setting on the Bitkub Exchange application
1. Log in to your account on the application > tap the “Setting” tab on the toolbar at the bottom right.
2. Select “Personal Data Management”.
- Edit your consent setting as you wish (turn the buttons to green to give your consent or to gray to not allow), and tap “Next” to save your new setting.
- In case you do not give consent for objective number 1 (the button is gray) meaning that you do not wish to receive any marketing news regarding our services and products, you will no longer receive the marketing newsletters from Bitkub Exchange within 7 days after your consent setting.
For general customers, after tapping ‘Next’ and the system records your setting, the process is completed.
Minors (18-20 years old) who have never submitted the parental consent letter that covers the consent to collect, use, or disclose personal data will need to proceed further after tapping “Next”. The steps are as follows.
1. After tapping “Next”, there will be a pop-up message “Upload Additional Documents”, please tap “Go to upload documents” to proceed to the next step.
2. On the document uploading page, please follow the steps below.
2.1 Download the consent letter and fill in the form in handwriting by using a pen.
2.2 Upload the consent letter that is completely filled in and signed.
2.3 Fill in the full name of a parent on the system (must be the name of the parent who signs the consent letter).
2.4 Upload a copy of the birth certificate or house registration or proof of guardianship (a court order).
2.5 Upload the selfie of the parent (the same parent who signs the consent letter).
3. Tap “Confirm” to submit the information and the documents to the system.
Remark: While waiting for the verification approval from us (the process may take up to 1 - 15 days and the result will be sent via email), you will not be able to change your consent setting; the system will notify you with a message as shown in the example below.
Possible technical issues
In case your screen shows the message “Cannot update this page” (see the example below), it means there is a technical issue at that moment, thus, you will not be able to change the consent setting temporarily.
What should I do when it happens?
Please tap on the “Try again” button to refresh the page until the system is working and you can change the setting.
