New Schedule for Bitcoin Taproot Upgrade - Deposit and Withdrawal of BTC Temporarily Out of Service on 13/11/2021 from 11:00 PM (GMT+7) onwards

Referring to the announcement on 8 November 2021 at 01:00 PM (GMT+7) regarding the temporary suspension of Bitcoin (BTC) deposit and withdrawal in order to support the Bitcoin Taproot upgrade, the upgrade has been rescheduled. Please see the details below.

To           09:30 AM (GMT+7) on 14 November 2021

In the meantime, BTC trading (buy and sell) will not be affected.

Bitcoin Taproot upgrade is scheduled to start at block 709,632 which is anticipated to take place on 14 November 2021 around 03:00 AM (GMT+7) according to Bitcoin forking countdown: https://www.nicehash.com/countdown/btc-forking-2021-11-15-12-00

Remarks:
1. The schedule is subjected to change based on the average duration of the new block creation on the Bitcoin network. Bitkub will keep providing the most updated information.

2. Any transactions that are not completely processed on blockchain before the system shutdown will be processed when the system is back in service. Be assured that your asset will remain safe under our care. However, it is suggested that making transactions during the maintenance period should be avoided to prevent any unexpected errors.
