Basic Attention Token, or BAT for short, was created in order to improve the security, fairness, and efficiency of digital advertising using blockchain technology. BAT is based on Ethereum and is native to Brave browser.
The founder of BAT is Brendan Eich, co-founder of Mozilla Firefox. The white paper of BAT was released on 7th January 2018.
