BAND is a cross-chain Data Oracle, which acts as a bridge between real-world data and blockchain or smart contract. BAND operates under its own blockchain system called Bandchain (based on the Cosmos SDK Framework). BAND started raising seed funding in 2017 by Mr. Soravis Srinawakoon (Man), the company’s CEO and co-founder, who has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in management science and engineering from Stanford University.
