How to Delete 2FA on Google Authenticator

Modified on Thu, 18 Apr at 8:23 PM

You can delete your 2FA (2-factor authentication) code on the Google Authenticator application yourself by following the steps below (applicable for every operating system, including iOS, Android, and Harmony OS (Huawei)).

Attention: If you delete the 2FA code for Bitkub while the 2FA function is active on your Bitkub account, you must request to unlock 2FA first to access the account or some services. (You can see the steps for how to submit a 2FA unlock request through Persona here.)

For Android and Harmony OS (Huawei)

1. Go to the Google Authenticator application.

2. Tap on the 2FA code under the Bitkub name for a few seconds.

3. Tap on the bin icon at the top-right corner.

4. Tap "Remove account" and it is done!

For iOS

1. Go to the Google Authenticator application.

2. Tap on the pencil icon next to the 2FA code under Bitkub name.

3. Tap on the bin icon at the top-right corner.

4. Tap "Remove account" and it is done!

Remark: Please be careful when deleting your 2FA codes. If you delete the 2FA codes connected to other platforms, you may need to contact the platform providers to request their support.
