According to Coinmarketcap and Messari, LRC was crowdfunded via ICO in 2017 and collected 120,014 ETH, or about $45 million at that time. The LRC was created with a maximum supply of 1,374,513,896 LRC and with the following allocation.
50% was allocated to investors without locking a period.
30% was allocated to the Loopring Foundation, with 20% of this portion allocated to co-founders and will be locked for the first 2 years. Another 10% will be used to pay gas fees for partners and transactions on the network during its early stage.
20% was allocated to the Loopring Ecosystem Advancement Fund (LEAF) which is the system that incentivizes Loopring ecosystem development by granting LRC as a reward for those who participate in the network.
