Credential can be any piece of information that is related to qualification, competence, or authority issued to an individual. Which can be anything from transaction history, education certificate, etc.
As for the cryptocurrency and blockchain community, credentials can be related to token transfer record, smart contract or dApp usage, or proof of holding an NFT.
