Status is a mobile application that currently runs on Ethereum’s blockchain ecosystem. It is currently in its beta phase and available for trial. Status aims to provide a new social media platform that is based on full privacy through a peer-to-peer network and acts as a gateway for other ERC20 DApps.
On the messaging/social media platform, users will not have to worry about ads as Status is “ads-free”. Users can pay through SNT for specific ads that they are interested in receiving or pay to make it completely ads-free.
On the gateway side, Status is similar to Google Play or App Store. Users can access various DApps through the app. Marking the first step into web 3.0.
