Where does Digital Asset Exchange revenue come from?

Modified on Tue, 25 Jul, 2023 at 12:09 PM

Generally speaking, the main revenue of a digital asset Exchange comes from trading fees that customers pay every time they make a transaction whether buying or selling digital assets. In the event that the customer has fee credits in the account at the time of the transaction, trading fees will be deducted from the available fee credit instead. Fee credit is, therefore, a promotion that an Exchange provides for the customer's own benefits.

In addition to income from trading fees, Exchanges also have other revenue streams, namely transaction fees, charged from withdrawals, and listing fee as agreed by the Exchange and digital asset issuers.

To sum up, the sources of income of a digital asset Exchange come from trading fees, withdrawal fees, and listing fee only.
