Modified on Thu, 26 Sep at 5:46 PM

Algorand was launched in 2019 by Silvio Micali, a computer scientist and a professor at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), who had also received numerous awards, including the Turing Award in 2012, which can be regarded as “The Nobel Prize of Computing.”

In addition, the two other organizations that supported and developed the network together were the Algorand Foundation and Algorand, Inc.

Algorand Foundation is a non-profit organization, and its main functions include managing the network, supporting small developers, and enhancing the platform’s ecosystem.

Whereas, Algorand, Inc.’s primary function is to seek business partners and support the business in implementing blockchain technology smoothly.
