The creators of Solana or Solana Labs, have members from many global technology companies, including Apple, Qualcomm, Intel, Google, and Microsoft.
Solana Labs is spearheaded by Anatoly Yakovenko, who previously joined Qualcomm as a Senior Staff Engineer Manager and worked as a Software Engineer at Dropbox.
Later in 2017, Anatoly began developing the Solana project with Greg Fitzgerald, a colleague at Qualcomm and the founder of Solana Labs. Then the Solana network was launched in 2020.
