The data that ChainLink can integrate with is vast due to many business partners. It could be bank transactions from VISA cards, Paypal, accounting data from SAP, Salesforce, stock exchange data from New York (NYSE), economic data from Bloomberg, other data from other blockchains, HyperLedgers, and even GPS or weather data from satellites.
The example of its application is the use of security smart contacts that require API to report an index in stock exchange like Derivatives: future trading or stock option that limited gain or loss automatically by smart contracts or purchasing of bonds and investment units that require to pay interests which will also be paid by smart contracts.
