Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short-range technology that enables devices in close proximity to communicate or transfer data. This technology is often used to read information stored in a chip embedded in documents like passports and transfer the data to another device or system. NFC makes communication and data transfer more convenient, faster, and secure.
We, Bitkub Exchange, have integrated NFC into our verification process to better serve foreign customers. With NFC, customers can easily use a supported device, such as a smartphone or tablet, to scan their passport (which must contain an embedded chip) and manually upload at least one additional document.
Brief Explanation of How NFC works
After scanning your passport with an NFC-enabled device, the chip's information is transferred to our system via our service provider's NFC technology (this process is similar to how the Thai national ID card is read through a dip chip system).
Benefits of NFC

To ensure your safety, we recommend following these guidelines:
Always use your own device for NFC scans. If you must use another device, make sure it is not connected to any suspicious systems or machines that could read or transfer your data.
Turn off the NFC function on your device when not in use.
Set a strong password for your device and avoid sharing it with others. Additionally, do not store confidential information on your device to prevent data leaks in case it is accessed by an unauthorized person, lost, or stolen.

Limitations of NFC
1. Devices and documents must be in close proximity for NFC to work. (It is recommended to place the document directly against the device or within 4 cm.)
2. As NFC technology is still relatively new, it may not be supported in some countries, systems, or devices.
3. To use NFC on Bitkub Exchange, you must update the Bitkub application to version 3.38.0 or higher.
Remarks:
NFC verification at Bitkub Exchange is available exclusively for non-Thai nationals.
Customers submitting passport information via NFC must also upload at least one additional document. For further details, please click here.
If your country is supported by our NFC service provider, the system will automatically assign you to the NFC verification process.
