Bitkub Exchange to support token upgrade of Polygon (MATIC) to Polygon Ecosystem Token (POL)

Following the new operations plan issued by the token issuer of Polygon (reference), Bitkub Exchange will support the upgrade of Polygon (MATIC) to Polygon Ecosystem Token (POL) tokens (on the same network, Polygon). Please see the details below.

Change of token’s name

• Current token’s name: Polygon (MATIC)

• New token’s name: Polygon Ecosystem Token (POL)

Token ratio after the upgrade

• According to the token issuer’s guideline, MATIC tokens will be changed to POL tokens at a ratio of 1:1 (1 MATIC: 1 POL).

Schedule

• Bitkub Exchange will further announce the schedules for related processes to upgrading MATIC to POL tokens including the deposit, withdrawal, and trading (buy-sell) termination/activation of MATIC and POL respectively on our official communication channels. Please follow us closely for more updates.

• Trading of MATIC is available until the Company begins the token upgrade to POL according to the schedule which will be announced further.

• The Company will change the MATIC tokens stored in all Bitkub wallets to POL automatically; customers who hold MATIC tokens on Bitkub Exchange do not need to process anything concerning this upgrade. Once the token upgrade is completed, the POL tokens will be stored in POL wallets on Bitkub Exchange.

• If you do not consent to Bitkub Exchange to upgrade your MATIC tokens in your Bitkub wallet to POL tokens, please consider managing your digital assets carefully before the said token upgrade according to the schedule that will be announced further.
