Who’s Behind KAVA?
Kava was founded in 2018 by Ruaridh O’Donnell, Brian Kerr, and Scott Stuart, a team of blockchain and DeFi developers. Scott Stuart is the current CEO, succeeding Brian Kerr, a former professional poker player and entrepreneur. Kerr served as Head of Product at Kava Labs from 2017 to 2021 and has advised several digital asset companies, including Snowball and DMarket.
Ruaridh O’Donnell holds a Master’s degree in Physics and previously worked as an engineer and data analyst at Levelworks. Kava Labs has employees based in North America, Asia, and Europe.

Kava Token is the native token of the Kava Network. It serves as both a utility token and a governance token.
