How to Log in to the Bitkub Website: Traditional vs Passkey Methods

Modified on Wed, 20 Nov at 4:24 PM

You have two options for logging in to your account on the Bitkub website and application:

Method 1: Email and Password

  • This is the traditional method most people are familiar with, and it works both on the application and website.

  • However, there is a limitation: if you enter incorrect information (email, password, or both) three times in a row, your account will be temporarily locked for one minute for security reasons. After that, you can try again with the correct details (Reference).

Method 2: Passkey

  • Using a passkey provides greater convenience and security compared to the traditional email and password method.

  • With this option, you can attempt to log in as many times as you need without risking your account being locked due to failed attempts.

However, there are a few limitations to this method:

  • You must have already activated the passkey on your Bitkub account to log into Bikub platforms using a passkey.

  • The device used to scan the passkey must be within 5 meters of your PC and support passkey functionality.

How to Log In Using a Passkey

1. Click "Log in with passkey”.

2. Complete the passkey verification:

  1. If you are using the same device you activated the passkey on: select the same verification method (e.g. password, fingerprint, face scan, USB Security Key, or iCloud Keychain).

  2. If you are using a different device: scan the QR code with the device used to activate the passkey, then follow the instructions on that device.

Helpful Tips

  • If you activated the passkey on your account, you can use multiple devices with the same iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager account to log in with the passkey method.

  • If your account is suspended, you will not be able to log in until the suspension is lifted. (Please contact Bitkub Support to reactivate it first.)
