How to Scan a Passport with NFC on Bitkub Application

Modified on Thu, 24 Oct at 10:33 AM

The process of verification document submission via NFC is described in the following steps.

Things to be noted before you begin

  1. NFC verification at Bitkub Exchange is available exclusively for non-Thai nationals.

  2. Please enable NFC and allow camera access on your device before starting the process.

  3. The device used for scanning and the document must be in close proximity for NFC to work. (It is recommended to place the document directly against the device or within 4 cm.)

  4. As NFC technology is still relatively new, it may not be supported in some countries, systems, or devices.

  5. To use NFC on Bitkub Exchange, you must update the Bitkub application to version 3.38.0 or higher.

  6. The language of NFC processes is in English only.

  7. The passport used for NFC scanning must have the e-passport symbol (see the example below).

Instructions

  1. Fill in all the information on your Bitkub account until you reach the identity verification process; tap Take a passport photo to begin.

  1. Scan your face.

  • When scanning your face, please look straight, then slightly turn your face to the left and right as instructed by the system accordingly.
