How to Transfer 2-Factor Authentication (by Google Authenticator) from One Phone to Another

In the event that you change your mobile phone and wish to transfer the 2-factor authentication from the current phone to the new one, please follow the instructions below.

How to transfer 2-factor authentication on website?


1. Install the Google Authenticator application on the new phone from App Store or Play Store.

2. Set up the 2-Step Verification by following the instructions below.

3. Login to your Gmail account and go to "Manage Your Google Account" and select “Security” on the left menu tab. Then select “2-Step Verification”.

4. Fill in the password to log in to the Gmail account again.

5. Select “Authenticator app”.

6. Click “Change authenticator app”.


    

7. Scan the QR code using the Google Authenticator application on your phone.



8. Fill in the 6-digit code to activate the authenticator.
