What to do when you see an error "2FA Google Auth is Invalid"

Modified on Wed, 12 Jun at 11:53 AM

If you enter a 6-digit 2FA (2-factor authentication) code correctly within the 30-second time limit and still encounter a “2FA Google Auth is invalid” error, it could be that your 2FA application is not properly synchronized with your device's time zone settings or the network time.

** To fix this, please enable network syncing under Date & Time settings on your device.

For Android

Go to Settings > General Management > Date & time.

Switch on "Automatic date and time".

For iOS

Go to Settings > General > Date & Time > switch on "Set Automatically".

Note: If the error persists, we recommend you delete your 2FA entry and create a new entry using the QR code or the manual key.

In case you try all the steps above but the 2FA is still locked, please request the 2FA unlock through this link so that our team can assist you further. (The instructions with examples can be found here.)
